One of Justice for North Korea’s most unique initiatives is the Street Campaign. This campaign consists of a live reenactment of a North Korean prisoner held captive by a North Korean guard and a Chinese guard. It symbolizes how the North Korean government and Chinese government are working together to oppress the North Korean people. For the past several years, this campaign has been held regularly in Insadong. Recently, however, it was held for the first time in Gwanghwamun. This new location provided us with a fresh audience, who responded positively to the campaign by accepting fliers and donating money. In the future, we hope to hold the campaign in several different areas around Seoul, in order to bring greater awareness of the North Korean crisis to the South Korean population.
