From November 25 to December 15, Justice for North Korea held its Zakar Korea campaign.

“Zakar” literally translates to “remember” in Hebrew but carries a meaning beyond recalling a truth. “Zakar” encourages attentive contemplation and reflection of one’s surroundings in the face of truth, denoting an active, conscious effort.

During our Zakar Korea campaign, we had performances, an art exhibition, a press conference, an international human rights forum, and times of worship and prayer. We raised awareness of the plight of North Koreans, we called on the international community to act, and we remembered the persecuted people in North Korea.
